I brought my brother-in-laws 1972 Triumph chopper back from Arizona with the promise that I would get it running for him. I thought it might be nice to chronicle my progress. Here's a picture of the bike just after I unloaded it off my truck.


First order of business was to remove and drain the gas tank and the carbs.


This is what happens to the inside of a carb if it has sat for a long time with gas in the tank and the fuel valve turned on so the gas evaporates out of the carb vent. That's probably the dry chemical additives from about two gallons worth of gas.
